Share your piece of history!

While we build our physical museum, we are also building a collection of objects and archival materials to better share and preserve a comprehensive history of Rachel Carson’s life, work, and legacy. Rachel Carson is not only a local Montgomery County story and a Maryland hero, her work has affected people and policies around the world. Springsong Museum strives to collect, preserve, and share Carson’s historic influence for generations to come - and we need your help!

The Museum’s collection is made up largely of artifacts donated by the public. Springsong Museum invites you to share your stories, objects, photographs, and other items that relate to Rachel Carson and her impact on American history. Complete the form below and upload any images of objects, documents, photographs, or other materials., to share with staff and volunteers at Springsong Museum.

Because of space and care requirements, we are currently limited in the  gifts of objects we are able to accept.. The museum is making significant headway toward the construction of the physical building, and story collection is just another facet of the museum’s goals.

We hope you will consider sharing your stories, memories, and Carson-related objects with us. Please provide your contact information and as much information as possible on the form below. Thank you for helping us preserve Rachel Carson’s legacy for future generations!
