Springsong Museum Founder and Executive Director Rebecca Henson was recently recognized in Maryland State Representative Jamie Raskin’s Local Hero Video Series, which highlights individuals making a meaningful impact in the community.

A Year of Hikes
For the past year, Springsong Museum has hosted free educational nature hikes along the Northwest Branch Trail of the Anacostia River.

Bethesda Today published Springsong Museum’s project and partnership with Montgomery Parks.
Montgomery Parks Survey
Springsong Museum now has a page on Montgomery Parks' website, complete with a project timeline and video about the project. As Parks will be leasing part of the Burnt Mills East Park property to Springsong, they launched an online survey to solicit public input about the future museum. Survey results available here!
Springing into Spring!
Throughout the spring, the Springsong Museum team gave presentations to hundreds of local community members on Rachel Carson's life and legacy and the plans for Springsong Museum. Groups included multiple garden clubs, a public middle school, a local American Association of University Women chapter, and three senior living communities.
